Dear Patrons: This event has been updated as "virtual only" as of Oct 1, 2021.
Seesaw Theatre's Inclusive Theatre Festival is a weekend-long virtual conference celebrating the strides being made in inclusive and accessible theatre. The festival aims to bring together theatre artists and practitioners from across the country, giving us a chance to learn about the amazing work being done and how we can improve our own work while supporting marginalized communities. The event is intended not only for theatre artists (students and professionals), but also for the disability community and their families, educators working with disabled individuals, and anyone interested in the fulfilling and ever-expanding field of inclusive theatre.
This year's conference will be presented in a virtual format. Seesaw Theatre is committed to providing an equally enriching and engaging experience for all of our participants. Access options will enable our attendees to participate to the fullest extent of their choosing. Join us for a specific presentation or the whole event, synchronously or asynchronously. We look forward to seeing you there!
The purchase of a ticket guarantees access to both days of conference programs and recordings of all of the presentations. Registrants will receive more information—including the conference schedule and appropriate links to access the programming—over email in the weeks before the conference. If the conference cost poses a financial challenge, please do not hesitate to contact Seesaw Theatre and accommodations can be made.
For those with the financial means, we ask that you consider supporting Seesaw Theatre and the Inclusive Theatre Festival at a pricing that is comfortable for you. Your funding support will help us with future festivals, our workshops for local schools and children, and our winter and spring productions at Northwestern and throughout the Evanston and Chicagoland area.
Please note that your support is not considered a charitable contribution or donation, and may not be used for income tax reporting purposes. However, it will help Seesaw Theatre as we strive to enrich the lives of autistic and otherwise disabled individuals by increasing their access to theatre and fostering the use of performance as a channel for expression. We appreciate your support!
